From My Brother's Diary

Contrary to my expectation and that of my family, I couldn't score first division in my class 12th final examination result. Everyone was shocked to hear this. The girl, who got national scholarship in her class 10th result, could not even score a first division. My mom started crying, my father became silent and for me it was like the end of my life. I was crying the whole day; I didn't eat anything and was hurt like anything. The atmosphere was very sad. My elder brother was keenly observing the events unfolding. Even though he always had a very high expectation from me and he too was hurt, he remained calm and quiet. When he realized that things are not improving, he called me, our parents and opened his diary in which he had written lessons from his past experiences. He explained those lessons in detail. The first point was:

Life doesn't end with one failure

And how true he really was! At that point in time, I did not realize it because I thought that this is like a black spot on my career, but now if I look back, that is a forgotten history and it never came in front of me except on a couple of occasions.

There are so many examples in our life where one fails in an important field of life. However, if the person is able to overcome this, one is bound to get success in one or the other field.

With Time all the wounds are healed:

Pain of losing something diminishes with time. Today what is hurting you the most will almost be forgotten tomorrow? So leave today's pain and try to forget it at its earliest.

This bad is for something good:

My brother told me that this second division had given me an opportunity to learn about my weak and strong points and also motivate me to do something very big so that this failure can minimize. In my case, I had to work really hard to achieve something big in my future endeavor so that nobody asked about my past results. So I worked very hard to get through the engineering entrance exam and I cleared it.

Failure also tells us about the correctness of our path. May be our destiny is in some other field.

Whatever situation is, follow your daily routine properly

We see it so many times that something bad happens and people stop eating, taking bath or shaving and other daily routine things. This is also the reason to increase the pain of failure or loss. Not eating will make you more irritable, untidy look will make you and people around you more depressed. So even in pain and grief, don't forget to eat properly and to carry yourself neat and tidy. The tidy looks send positive energy around you and people will also talk positively with you.
